India as a welfare state has made a good beginning in the direction of empowering its women. Keeping this in mind college has established a ;unit of Women cell which is actively engaged in guiding and counselling girls students to go for higher education, solving personal and marital problems, motivating girls to be physically and mentally fit, developing general awareness about health and legal women rights. The cell has been working actively since 1993 and a number of activities like extension Lecturers, health camps, blood donation camps spiritual upliftment camp, Yoga camps etc. have been organized. Focus of attraction in which students actively participate with full zeal and enthusiasm are Melas organised by the cell on special occasion like Deepawali, Karwa-Chauth aimed at developing self confidence among students. In the last few years’ students of our college participated in District Wushu Championship. Students won Gold, Silver and Bronze medal in the year 2002 – 2003 at State and National Level karate Championship.
